Where the Forum meets
Location, directions and other details about Forum meetings

The Forum meets at the West Charlotte Recreation Center at the intersection of Kendall Drive and Senior Drive. That's just down the hill from West Charlotte High School..

Ample free parking is available on the lot facing Senior Drive adjoining the Center building.

The phone number for the Center is 704-432-6474. This number should be used only in the event of personal emergency. Recreation Center staff cannot take messages for the Forum or call participants out of Forum meetings.

The Forum begins at 8:30 a.m. Doors open at 8 a.m. Coffee is available.

After the speaker's address, a question-and-answer session follows.

For decades, the Forum turned to announcements at the end of its meetings. In January 2012, the Forum began experimenting with having Announcements at roughly 9:15 a.m., then returning to the presentation under way. The mid-meeting time was designed to share Announcements with the greatest number of people before participants begin leaving for work or appointments.

Anyone present may stand and offer information about upcoming community events or milestones. An e-mail summarizing those announcements, along with announcements e-mailed in advance, is sent to those who have given the Forum their e-mail address. The text of the announcements is archived here. If you would like to offer your announcement but cannot attend a Forum, e-mail the announcement to Steve Johnston.

Since November 2009, the Recreation Center has offered wireless Internet access during Forum meetings. For the password, contact staff members or Steve Johnston before or during the Forum.

The Forum welcomes all persons to its meetings beginning at 8:30 a.m. most Tuesdays of the year
